DIY “GREEN” COATING TECHNOLOGY REDUCES FREQUENT NEED TO WASH AUTOMOBILES
Aerolon Automotive Appearance Coatings Launch New “Shine” Product-Line for Detailing Industry
Paint oxidizes, metal rusts, and plastics fade making your automobile vulnerable to the elements. While there is no known way to stop the laws of physics, Aerolon has developed an innovative line of eco-friendly automotive appearance products that defy the laws of atrophy. By expounding on aerospace technology used in the airline industry, Aerolon’s new Do-it-Yourself, single application “shine” products impede physical and chemical breakdowns from taking place, and utilize green chemical coating technology to absorb and neutralize the acidic effects of those destructive processes on the surface of your automobile, boat, or aircraft. The outcome is a less frequent need to wash your car resulting in better aerodynamics; faster, easier, 1-step DIY applications; a longer-lasting shine; and more durable coating protection.
The benefits of the Aerolon automotive appearance product-line are comparable to the high-gloss and protective standards set by the airline industry:
The slick and shiny surface makes your automobile — like aircraft — more aerodynamic because it reduces wind resistance caused by dirt and pollution
Because Aerolon products meet the stringent compliance of the airline and marine industries, the protective and aerodynamic properties make Aerolon appearance coatings especially popular among automotive care professionals, detailers, and car enthusiasts — if it is good enough for a Gulfstream Jet, it is even better for your Porsche 911 Carrera.
San Francisco entrepreneur Jim Stavrinides, founder of Aerolon, a veteran in the commercial and residential janitorial industry, and owner of San Francisco’s busy California Detailing, is no stranger to the need for a sparkling clean surface. “I saw a need in the detailing industry and the cleaning industry as a whole, for good quality cleaning products and durable DIY coating systems whose applications require less labor, are more time efficient, and last longer,” Stavrinides says. “If a detailer can accomplish all of those things in less than five minutes rather than two hours of waxing and polishing, then they are able to service more customers more efficiently and at a lower cost.”
Currently, Aerolon is launching two premier products: Aerolon Tech Shine and Aerolon 1-Step Show Polish. Both products have undergone years of extensive field-testing by detailing industry professionals.
A single 2-ounce application of Aerolon Tech Shine’s unique hand applied moisture-activated cross-linking polymer takes less than five minutes to apply during the final rinsing process to coat a medium-size automobile with a crystal clear shield. It doesn’t wash off and lasts for months, but is safe to use every time you wash your automobile, which will be significantly less often. Tech Shine bonds instantly to wet surfaces without leaving any unsightly white residue and is safe to use on all exterior non-porous surfaces. By using Tech Shine on your brand new car, you will never need to wax your car again — ever —for as long as you use Tech Shine.
The new Aerolon 1-Step Show Polish utilizes advanced aerospace microcrystalline activated polymers to safely polish and protect older classic car paints to the newest waterborne ceramic clear coats. One-Step Show Polish provides the perfect combination of polishing and sealing ingredients to remove minor surface dulling, swirls, and water stains. After years of research and testing Aerolon has perfected a durable wet-look show winning polish that is used by auto enthusiast and professional detailers.

"Techshine makes the care and maintenance of all my black Ferraris a breeze. Its ability to keep them looking like black pianos is unsurpassed!"

"I've been a faithful Zaino user on multiple cars (a Ford Expedition and a Lexus RX400h) for over seven years. I was THAT guy who would have friends over for a 'Zaino Party'. We'd apply coats of Zaino onto each car in a staggered fashion so we could remove a coat on one car while another was drying. My typical treatment would include a coat of Z-5 (w/ZFX), then Z6, then Z2 (w/ZFX), then Z6, then a final coat of Z2 (w/ZFX), and then a final spray of Z6. After every wash I would use Z6 to bring back the shine. I drive to Tahoe every single weekend in the winter, so this caused me to perform this whole process twice a year. It took me about five hours with the Expedition, three with the Lexus.
Now, since being introduced to Tech Shine, things have changed. My vehicle stays shinier longer, and it repels dirt for a much longer period of time. For example, my average Tahoe drive used to totally coat my car after one trip with Zaino. With Tech Shine, it takes several. On top of that, if I take the car (by mistake) to an automatic or poor wash facility, my car appears to retain less scratching with Tech Shine (the dirt just doesn't seem to stick as much). With Zaino, after two to three post-Tahoe washes, I started to see some serious imperfections (hence why I used Z6 after each wash to keep up).
But enough with all of that! One wash with Tech Shine and it looks like I spent hours waxing, the shine and comes right back to a perfect finish - high gloss - no swirls even after collecting a MONTH worth of Tahoe cement. You just wash, spend five minutes applying Tech Shine, and done. Enough said. Sorry Zaino Bros."
"Sunday June 22, 2008 I entered my 1963 Jaguar Mark X the Palo Alto Concours d' Elegance in the class for Passenger & Touring Cars 1956 Thru 1982 Under $7,000 New. I took first place in the class.
Before the class awards, a small group of cars are selected to receive trophies. To my amazement, my car was selected to receive the Meguire's Trophy for Best Exterior Finish. The outstanding buffing and detail work completed by you and your shop was a great contribution in winning this award. "
"I was introduced to Tech Shine by the professionals that detailed my new Nissan GT-R. Saying that my car was shinny afterward would be an understatement. It had an amazing deep gloss and felt like silk when rubbed with the back of my hand. I took it to a car show where it was parked next to an identical new car and after doing the "back of the hand rub" on both cars, people kept saying "Oh wow, what a difference".
I felt, however that the test was maybe a bit too easy since my car was new. I decided to try it out on my dark blue 4 year old car. Applying Tech Shine is as easy as I was told. After washing and rinsing the car, I just spread a couple of ounces of it all over the car with a small sponge, rinsed one last time and towel dried. It leaves no streaking whatsoever. The end result is comparable to having done a complete hand wax job. I had not seen that car shine to that extend in a long time (who has time to wax their cars regularly?) It even seem to conceal the light swirl marks my paint had suffered.
But I think the aspect of the product that made me smile the most was when I had to drive the newly Tech Shine'd car in the rain, on a dirty freeway. Watching the water basically fly off my car was quite entertaining. It also made using the windshield wipers almost redundant as the rain just glazed off the glass. At the end of the 300 mile drive, the front and sides of the car were still shiny and clean looking. I am truly converted!"
To all the car nuts -
My Porsche looks better then the day I drove it off the showroom floor. I"m always getting complimented on how good it looks.
Regular washing and coat of Tech Shine is all it takes.
To all the car nuts -
Here is a big thumbs up to Tech Shine for their amazing product that keeps my Interlagos Blue M3 looking flawless. Parked on the street Monday through Friday, the car endures the worst of San Francisco weather...rain, misty fog and dust. However, a quick wash followed by Tech Shine brings the paint back to its vibrant color and glass-smooth finish that feels like a new iPod screen to the touch). This incredible smoothness helps the paint stay cleaner longer as elements seem to just not stick to it. All in all, the process is the next best thing to keeping the car hidden in a garage.
